I was born in San Jose, CA and moved to Reno when I was eight, a few years after my father died. I have two young children and a wonderful husband. I feel very lucky in the fact that my family and friends give their support with my writing and always have, although when I was younger most of my stories were depressing and involved death. It did get to the point where my mother told me she wouldn't read any more of my stories because of how often they made her cry.
The first vampire book I ever read was "Dracula" by Bram Stoker. I fell in love with vampires from then on. I enjoy reading almost as much as I enjoy writing. Most of what I read is urban fantasy. I enjoy reading Keri Arthur, Laurell K. Hamilton and Anne Rice. Although I love vampires and were-creatures one of my favorite books is "Little Women". Doesn't fit in with the rest, but I've read it multiple times and cry every time. I've also recently fallen in love with the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy; I had to read them twice.
